I am looking for a rehabilation center for my son 23 yrs old with catastrophic brain injury from a fall?

I am looking for a plce in Central Fl. My son fell while at work. He has a catastrophic brain injury. He is not a vegetable and does respond somewhat. He needs catastrophic nurses to take care of him .

The hospital where he was at should have recommended one to you. There is no such a thing as a catastrophic nurse. He needs a rehab center that specializes in brain injuries like that. Call the hospital’s case manager to help find a place for your son. I’m assuming he is still in the hospital or else in a nursing home somewhere. If he’s in a nursing home, chances are he may be as good as he is going to get, which I know isn’t what you want to hear. Responding somewhat may not be enough for rehab. Doctors aren’t gods and medical science can only do so much. Although miracles do happen, you may need to face reality here. If he is fixable the hospital will transfer him somewhere where he will get the best of care. IF he is fixable.
