Where can I find help for parents of a downs syndrome child?
My friend has a one year old son with downs syndrome, and he’s currently in the hospital with pnumonia, and may need a feeding tube insurted. They live in Georgia, but they’re staying at a hospital in Florida. They’re having a hard time paying for the bills, and food in the hospital, and gas to get back and forth from Georgia to Florida. I was looking for any kind of help with this that they may be able to receive during this hard time. ANY (kind) suggestions welcome. Thank you!
They’re also having trouble with their bills at home because they’re missing work, and because of the long drives to the hospital. I don’t know if there’s any organization that helps with rent/utilities during hospital time… maybe something like that too would also help. Thank you so much!

downs syndrome
They should talk to the hospital advocate and they will be able to point them in the right direction for some sort of help and any local church organization should be of help also. And you could hold a garage sale or car wash in their behalf through your church or school or by yourself but that wouldn’t be as effective. Good Luck and Bless you for your concern.
